The Intermediate Choir took part in the annual Sounds Sublime festival, hosted by The Sixteen, for their final performance of the year at St James’ Piccadilly. The singers had the opportunity to workshop and perform alongside four other youth choirs, and they thoroughly enjoyed participating in the afternoon masterclass. Their performance included The Moon by Andy Beck and two pieces from A Sporting Chance by Bob Chilcott, The Weightlifter and Run for Gold, before culminating in a final performance of The Beat of a Different Drum by Sarah Quartel conducted by Nicholas Chalmers as one large chorus. It was a fantastic afternoon of music-making, and brought out the best in all our singers.
