FCMG joined English National Opera’s production of The Dead City (Die Tote Stadt) by Korngold at the London Coliseum. Dame Sarah Connolly, Rolf Romei, Allison Oakes and Audun Iversen starred in the 6-show run, conducted by Kirill Karabits and directed by Annilese Miskimmon. The opera received four-star reviews in The Guardian, The Times and The Telegraph, with our singers described as “first-rate” (The Guardian) and singing “to perfection” (Artsdesk). It was a wonderful experience of making a professional opera production, from studio to stage.
