BBC’s Ten Pieces recording to celebrate women composers

A group of our Intermediate and Senior Choir singers had the exciting opportunity to take part in a special recording for the BBC at Alexandra Palace conducted by Ellie Slorach. The singers rehearsed and filmed Magic, a movement from Storm by Judith Weir, alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC Singers. This is part of the BBC’s educational 10 Pieces project, which, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, highlights the work of women composers. Our singers had an unforgettable day rehearsing and recording with such professional musicians, and they’re proud to contribute to a meaningful project that will inspire young learners across the country.
