To The Stars!

SWON, Formby Brass Band and Finchley Children’s Music Group are delighted to present a massed concert featuring over 100 performers, showcasing some wonderful music with a special space theme.
Our combined ensembles will present a fantastic work written especially for massed wind orchestra and children’s choir. To The Stars! will take us on a journey in a rocket launch into outer space, meeting all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures along the way. This is placed alongside Mars from the Holst’s ever-popular Planets suite, and the Malvern Suite by Philip Sparke which richly describes our own green and pleasant land, so there really is something for everyone.
Each of our ensembles will also showcase some of their own repertoire, with a wide range of musical styles from Strauss to David Bowie.
Our concert venue is St Benet’s Church – Ospringe Road, Kentish Town.
