Durufle & Taverner – The Morley Chamber Choir and a range of other choirs including the FCMG Senior Choir

A performance of Maurice Durufle’s exquisite and intensely moving Requiem, written in 1947, accompanied in this performance by the newly restored Royal Festival Hall organ.

This event opened with five anthems from John Tavener’s Veil of the Temple, to commemorate the recent death of this extraordinary British composer of contemporary spiritual choral music.

Conducted by Morley College’s Director of Music, Andrea Brown, the Morley Chamber Choir in collaboration with Voicelab and a range of other choirs including the FCMG Senior Choir.
