FCMG (Finchley Children’s Music Group), founded in 1958 with Benjamin Britten as its President, is London’s leading children’s choir with over 170 singers aged between 4 and 18 across four choirs. Under the direction of Grace Rossiter since 2001, the choirs are well known for their natural, vibrant vocal quality and high level of musicianship and professionalism.
In addition to our own regular self-promoted concerts, FCMG is frequently invited to take part in performances of larger choral works with world class conductors and orchestras and in recordings for radio, television and film. We also commission new repertoire from leading UK composers, and look forward to some new ambitious works for our upcoming 60th anniversary.
We are seeking a part-time General Manager (FTE 0.6) with a music- or arts-based background, to act as primary liaison point with the membership, working closely with the Music Director and the committee and with venues and external clients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills and a genuine passion for participatory arts, be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently, and have meticulous attention to detail.
