FCMG London Children’s Choir - Summer School 2008
55 members of the Senior and Chamber choirs returned to Frensham Heights School, where we are now used to the superb accommodation, facilities and food, for Summer School 2008
There was the usual mixture of work and fun, with music and drama, set and costume production, and lots of recreational activities. It is always a pleasure to see a group of young people work so hard to produce something they can be really proud of.
The week ended with a concert based on work we did during the week, as well as a production of The Gondoliers, by Gilbert and Sullivan. Here is a copy of the Programme for The Gondoliers.
This year’s rounders competition should have been rained off, but a few hardy souls took to the field and a great time was had by those waterproof individuals who were determined to go for it. The football competition was much drier, and included the usual cheating by our referee - who seems to think his role is to score goals to keep the scores even.
The tuck shop area was kept busy during the evenings, with people playing pool and table tennis, watching television and chatting to their friends.
