Sarah Forbes

Intermediate Choir Conductor

Sarah Forbes recently graduated from postgraduate studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She now lives and works in London as a singer, teacher and conductor.

Sarah studied conducting at Birmingham University where she was awarded a first for the discipline and was selected to conduct both the university Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra. After graduating Sarah became Musical Director of Stone Choral Society as well as working as an animateur for Bedfordshire Music, delivering singing workshops in schools and their wider communities. Whilst living in Scotland Sarah conducted both The Pentland Singers and The Pentland Junior Singers.

Sarah moved to London in 2010 when she became conductor of FCMG Intermediate Choir. Sarah also works as a soprano and recent engagements have included Dido and Aeneas (Belinda) for Winterbourne Opera as well as Vivaldi's Gloria for both Eastbourne Choral Society and Ayr Choral Union. Sarah also sings with Dieci, Professional Vocal Ensemble.
